Installing a new teak toerail on a 36' sailboat.
| Once the old toerail was removed, installing the new one meant bending it into shape. This was done with clamps, ropes and Yankee Ingenuity! (That's what you call that upright where the bend begins!) |
| Here is another view of the new toerail during the installation. |
| Here is the final clamping. It lined up the old part of the toe rail perfectly with the new piece. |
| Here is a close up of the scarfed joint. See how nice she looks? In a short while, anyone who doesn't know the joint is there will have a hard time finding it. |
